You might be surprised that an alternative medicine guys
like me supported Bush in 2004.
Zell Miller's speech at the Republican National Convention
was a highlight of the campaign. In my opinion, the articles
Zell is writing, the sacrifice he made for his country (he's
no longer a Senator now), and the words you hear in this
Zell Miller speech video, prove that he doesn't just have
a cool first name... he also is a real American, a true
patriot of the old stripe, with a whole lotta guts.

importantly, I'm going to give you as many links as I can
find to the Zell Miller Speech Video (because I don't know how
long they'll stay active), but I'll also give you links to the
text, and quotes about what people said about this
speech, just to give you some context and appreciation for what
it was.
(And watch George Bush Sr. and Rudy Giuliani's faces - they were
eating it up! Everyone was.)
Here are some links to the Zell Miller Speech Video- if
one doesn't work, try another. I can't guarantee the news sites
will keep them up forever!
Some Rebuttals to Zell Miller's Speech Video:
"In remarks prepared for delivery last night, Kerry
denounced the Republican convention for its "anger and distortion"
and criticized Cheney for avoiding the military draft during the
Vietnam era." - from the Washington
Post, 9/3/04
'Not being a Republican by title, Zell Miller was a perfect puppet
for the GOP to release their childlike anger and appeal to the
less-educated. Because he was a Democrat, the Republicans can
now wash their hands of this, as they have been.' - Mark Stein,
Kinesiology junior, in the Daily
Texan, 9/22/04
"Miller will proudly stand as the man who gave one of the
most vicious and demagogic convention speeches in the television
age." - E. J. Dionne Jr., Friday,
September 3, 2004; Page A19, Washington Post
"Miller's fiery, brimstone-studded speech on the penultimate
night of the Republican convention was a quintessential testosterone
moment that got professional harrumphers flustered and swing voters
inspired. While pundits wondered whether Zell was over the top,
too hot or too tough, Heartland Americans (and not a few journalists
who shall remain unnamed in the interest of job security) were
high-fiving and arm-pumping yessssssssss." - Kathleen Parker,
'The
Zell factor', 9/04/04
