Outer Banks North Carolina

Looking for a great Outer Banks North Carolina vacation? North Carolina’s barrier islands offer scenic beauty, exciting recreation, great food and accommodations, and so much more. I’d love to tell you all about it.

Being a native North Carolinian, I’m also fortunate enough to have lived most of my life within an hour’s drive of the Outer Banks. North Carolina is truly a variety vacationland – from the coast to the Blue Ridge mountains – but that old saying “Life’s a beach” really does it for me.

If you’re looking for a great place to spend some of your time off, why not consider an Outer Banks North Carolina vacation this year? You’ll be so glad you did.

What’s included in an Outer Banks North Carolina vacation plan? Anything you want!

If you haven’t seen the Atlantic Ocean from an Outer Banks vantage point, you haven’t seen the ocean. From Corolla to Ocracoke and beyond, North Carolina boasts more than 300 miles of beautiful oceanfront beaches. The sandy beaches of North Carolina are unparalleled in beauty – no matter what your standard of comparison might be.

Outer Banks North Carolina beaches are the best!

I’ve had the opportunity to see some nice beaches in my time. In the past two years, I’ve traveled to beaches in Mexico, the Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas. On our last trip, my wife and I turned to each other and said, almost in unison, “North Carolina has the most beautiful beaches of all.” But you don’t need to take our word for it; come see for yourself.

A great Outer Banks North Carolina vacation is waiting just for you.

If you’re bringing the kids along, they’ll be glad to know that the Outer Banks area is filled with recreational activities. Want to escape the heat for a couple of hours? Take in a movie at one of the local cinemas. Or maybe visit the hundreds of gift and novelty shops.

After you’ve cooled down for a while, you’ll be ready to climb to the top of Jockey’s Ridge, the tallest sand dune on the east coast. Anyone for hang-gliding? Or, maybe you’d like to visit the Wright Brothers Museum and Memorial – the birthplace of aviation.

Certainly you’ll want to take a dip in the ocean at some point. You can choose a public beach on the ocean or take a swim in the fresh water of the Albemarle Sound. All the beachfront hotels and cottages have their own beach access as well.

Make an Outer Banks North Carolina memory this year.

If you’re looking for a great place for your family to relax and have fun, there’s no finer spot than the Outer Banks, North Carolina. My family’s been vacationing there all my life. In fact, one of my very first memories centers on my older sister and me holding hands, dancing in a circle, and singing, “We’re going to the beach!” We felt lucky to live so close to all that’s available on the Outer Banks.

An Outer Banks North Carolina vacation may be just what you’ve been waiting for. So, why check out the Outer Banks for yourself? You might do a little singing and dancing too.
